"2014 - Dungog Artist Talks"

Arts Upper Hunter presented eight diverse artists and artsworkers living in the Dungog local government area who gave presentations about their work at the James Theatre in Dungog on Friday October 31 2014. Presenters include art activist Georgina Clark, Paterson Gallery owner Cath Varcoe, screenwriter John O'Brien, photographer Ken Rubeli, filmmaker and theatreworker Michael Winchester, textile artist Lisa Wiseman and jazz musicians Paul McNamara and Sally Corbett.

Each presentation lasted under seven minutes, include slides and, in some cases, a few surprises. MC will be Dungog Council's Ivan Skaines introduced presenters and facilitated questions at the end of each presentation.

Regional Arts Development Officer Mark Reedman said that this is the third event of its kind that Arts Upper Hunter has run. "The audience arrive not quite knowing what to expect and go away inspired and amazed by the breadth of creativity in their community. The MC has a hard job of not letting the question times go too long."

The event starts at 7 pm. Tickets are $10 and $5 and can be bought at the door. The James Theatre kiosk will be open. For further information ring Arts Upper Hunter on 6541 4776 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
