"2015 - Upper Hunter Shire Artist Talks"

Working in and supporting arts and culture may seem like a fun-filled whirlwind of creativity, openings,
glasses of wine and mini quiches, but behind the scenes there’s a lot of hard work. Arts Upper Hunter’s Artist Talks is an opportunity to get an insight into the lives of nine local people from diverse cultural practices. With the aid of slides, each will talk about their inspirations, challenges and what draws them to the arts.

Presenters include: Peter Carlin, Anne Davies, Sue Davis, Hanna Kay, Carmel Hughes, Gwen Alchin, Jenny Loasby, Lachlan Phelps, Fran Wachtel and Leslie Wand.

ABC Radio’s Mike Pritchard will introduce the presenters and facilitate questions from the audience at the end of each presentation.

The evening will be held at the Scone Arts and Crafts Centre, starting at 7 pm on Friday 28st August. Tickets can be bought at the door for $10 and $5 concession. A light supper will be provided.
