"2015 - Arts Upper Hunter supports 2 NAIDOC Week Celebrations "

Arts Upper Hunter supported 2 NAIDOC Week celebrations.

Wanaruah Local Aboriginal Lands Council, the Upper Hunter Shire Council and Arts Upper Hunter organised a visit by Gamilaroi elder Dolly Jerome to run a series of basket weaving workshops in Muswellbrook and Merriwa.

The Upper Hunter Museum Network (UHMN), Upper Hunter Shire Council and Arts Upper Hunter organised a trip for the UHMN and other interested people, to visit Cumbo Gunerah Museum in the Red Chief Local Aboriginal Land Council, Gunnedah. This museum holds a significant collection of stone artefacts, carved trees, weapons and utensils.
