Coming in February 2026 is a lovely opportunity for Hunter artists, especially those with a connection to Muswellbrook or its hospital, to have their work on show in the new consulting rooms.
2D works will be purchased or commissioned, with Expressions of Interest (EOIs) opening at the beginning of Feb. Hospitals can be tough environments for people, and art can have a calming, distracting or joyful effect for people. Health Infrastructure and Hunter New England Health are seeking works with a nature or landscape thematic. The beautiful, the intriguing, the interesting will be considered. Arts Upper Hunter’s Marina Lee Warner is leading the project.
Keep your eye out for EOI opening on 2 February. The form isn’t very complicated – you’ll need to talk about your relationship to the area and your own art practice and provide up to five images with price estimates. Artists will need some insurance coverage if they are chosen. Up to ten artists will be represented.
