Applications close: This program is open on an ongoing basis until 30 October 2023.
This program aims to provide grants to proposals that address a need for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It is one of the current grant opportunities under the Indigenous Advancement Strategy which aims to fund and deliver programs for Indigenous Australians.
Proposals must be developed with the community or group who will be impacted by the activity. Communities, organisations, businesses and individuals will still be able to approach the Agency with funding proposals. This will take place under the Agency Collaborates (Non-Competitive) Grant Opportunity Guidelines (GOGs).
The first step for potential applicants is to contact the local NIAA Regional Office to organise a time to discuss the proposal. The Agency will therefore review your funding proposal, before you are asked to prepare a full application.
There is no maximum grant amount available to applicants. The agency will consider value with relevant money and availability of funds to meet priorities in offering a grant amount. Applicants can apply for funding for activities for up to 12 months or over multiple years.
