Escape the noise of the supercars in Newcastle, and come up to the forested mountainside for peace & quiet & fresh air – and see some historic ‘movies under the stars’. Movies Under the Stars is held annually at the Callicoma Hill Eco-cabins, 50km north of Singleton at Mt Royal, on the edge of the Barrington wilderness.
A unique evening of historic movies! Short films from the 1920’s to the 1970’s, plus the classic 1946 Australian feature film ‘ Bush Christmas’. The films are all suitable for children.
Films will be screened with a traditional (& solar powered) reel to reel projector in the quiet natural ambience of the surrounding forest.
Movie tickets $12 adult, $6 children (payable in cash on the evening). Bookings are essential.
The films will start at 8pm. Bring your own drinks, comfy chairs/cushions/rugs to sit on the grass, plus supper to share. Tea and coffee will be provided. You can also bring a picnic or BBQ dinner to enjoy before the movies begin.
Accommodation is available – There is a self-contained 3 bedroom eco-cabin, a 10 bed rustic bunkhouse and unlimited bush camping. Bookings are essential – book now before someone else does!
