Richard Gill School is excited to announce that scholarships are available to a small handful of families that wish to attend our wonderful school but may not have the means to do so. Scholarships will cover a child’s full primary school education fees. , it The scholarships will be available to families with children starting Kindergarten or Year 1 in 2021 who wish to attend the school but may not have the means to do so. The scholarships will be covering school fees for the awarded student’s entire primary school education at Richard Gill School.
“We are so grateful to see the community being donated a sum of money which can go towards giving financially or otherwise disadvantaged children in the area the opportunity for a fully paid independent primary school education at Richard Gill School. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to gain access to the Richard Gill School who may not have otherwise been able to attend due to financial reasons. Our vision is to allow as many families in the community access to the school as possible and this donation will help see to that even further to our already low fee structure” Chris English.
Richard Gill School is accepting scholarship applications for the 2021 school year for Kindergarten and Year 1 students. Applications will close December 31, 2020 so it is important that parents and carers to get their scholarship applications in as soon as possible to be considered for the wonderful opportunity.
To apply parents or carers just need to visit www.richardgillschool.nsw.edu.au/scholarships or call (02) 6543 1900. The Principal and Scholarship Selection Panel will assess the application and make a recommendation to the school board, notifying the applicant family of the outcome. There are only minimal criteria to determine eligibility which include:

• has potential to succeed at school.
• and family have a positive attitude towards school and have high attendance rates
• is experiencing disadvantage currently preventing them from realising potential and/or successfully completing their studies,
• demonstrates they participate in school life (or capacity to)
• can contribute to the community and/or in extracurricular activities (or capacity to).
This announcement comes as Richard Gill School’s Stage 1 construction is underway, with building works set to be completed by mid-January 2021. The build will include a state of the art musically focused school building with architecturally designed spaces to deliver high level learning outcomes to Richard Gill School students, a bespoke aspect of the school’s overall vision. A playground, basketball court and fenced in outdoor areas will also be built. This is only the first stages of the construction process and a fully functioning K-12 school will be built over the coming years, as the school grows.
Richard Gill School is a secular, independent primary school now registered with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). The school is different in the fact that, while it is a regular school, it will have a strong musical focus as well as a focus on physical activity. Tailored around the educational philosophy of Richard Gill AO, music and physical education will form cornerstones of the curriculum. The school will provide a first of its kind opportunity for regional students to engage in a unique education where creativity plays a central role in all key learning areas.
