When was the last time you channelled your creative genius on a piece of footpath? Maybe, like so many of us, it was over a decade (or two!) ago when you were just a kid.
This year Dungog Festival is to be richer than ever with a chalk art competition to take place in the main street, blocked from traffic for the day during the October Long Weekend, 28th September – 1st October.
Kids and adults will be invited to take part in a Water-theme chalk-art competition along Dowling Street during the Sunday Street Party on Sunday 30th September.
A lure for anyone with a creative flair – hidden or otherwise – the competition will be led by local artists who will inspire and guide the entrants.
All entrants will receive a packet of concrete chalk (to keep) and a square of concrete to create your ideas on the footpath.
Start any time from 12.00 noon on Sunday and be finished by 5.00pm. The winners will be announced on the main stage at 6.00pm.
