Artist Statement
“My work explores the cognitive connections we form with landscapes, places, and spaces. Landscape shapes us in subtle yet profound ways, influencing how we think and feel through observation and interaction. It defines not just where we live, but who we are. My art reflects this relationship, focusing less on literal representation and more on my personal response to the environment. Through shape, form, and colour on a two-dimensional surface, I seek to capture that connection. Living by a river and experiencing its sights and sounds daily is a healing experience that flows through and manifests in my work.”
