Artist-blacksmith Will Maguire has crafted a wry, intriguing round bench seat to commemorate the closure of Liddell Power Station. The seat includes lighting, reworked pieces of Liddell itself, and has a story to tell.
The seat is to be unveiled on Monday 28 April at its new site outside the Muswellbrook Library in Bridge St. Please join us if you wish. Note the time is still being finalised – we will confirm on social media soon.
Time: 5pm – just in time for sunset at 5.22! (TBC)
Date: Monday 28 April 2025
There will be a couple of speeches, and an opportunity for Q&A with the artist, AGL staff and Council staff.
(Maybe we can ask when the smokestacks will be coming down.)
