FIrstdraft (Gadigal Land, Sydney) and Metro Arts (Meeanjin, Brisbane) are delighted to announce a new two-year reciprocal partnership supporting two artists living outside of capital cities – one from NSW and another from QLD – to present work across both organisations in 2022 and 2023.
The partnership between the two organisations will support the production and presentation of new work, including artist fees and support towards research, travel and freight. Selected artists will receive curatorial and professional mentorship across both presentations. The NSW recipient will be selected through the 2022 Firstdraft Program callout, with the artist exhibiting at both venues in 2022. The QLD recipient will be selected through the 2023 Metro Arts Program Callout, with the artist showing at both venues in 2023.
Ahead of the NSW callout, Firstdraft and Metro Arts will be conducting online information sessions on 23, 24 and 25 November. To learn more about this opportunity, including your eligibility and how to apply, register online here.
Team members from both organisations – including Kyle Weise, Curator (Exhibition Program), Metro Arts, Brisbane; JD Reforma, Communications and Development Manager, Firstdraft; and Karen Golland and Holly Farrell, Co-Directors, Firstdraft – will present information about Firstdraft, Metro Arts, as well as information about the opportunity, your eligibility, and how to apply.
