Museum Selfie Day invites the general public to go to a museum or gallery, take a selfie and post it on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #museumselfieday. The campaign to raise awareness of great collections of work stored in museums, was created in 2015 by Mar Dixon.
This painting of Francis Little of Invermien, the first settler of the Scone District (1825), was painted in Scotland in 1844 by artist unknown. The painting hangs in the Scone & Upper Hunter Historical Society Museum, which will be open on 19 January 2022. Visit Facebook page for conditions of visiting.
