Singer-songwriter, Joey Leigh Wagtail, an 893rd generation Dunghutti man, has created an effortless sound that tears your heartstrings then stitches them back together again — Folk’n heavy blues on country music.
Selected as one of three musicians for Create NSW’s Generations New Music Early Career Fellowship from October 2022 – March 2023 which included a six-month residency at Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum, Joey will release his single, “Sweet Sugar” off of the forthcoming album ‘Delusions of Grandeur’ on the 27th September.
Felicity Dowd 2024 Toyota Starmaker Grand Finalist, Youth Artist of the Year at the Australian Folk Music Awards (2023), NSW Folk Federation Young Artist of the Year (2020) and Gill Rees Memorial Award winner at the 2023 National Folk Festival,
