Next year is coming fast. Reopening is upon us. Some are already creaking open their doors and inviting viewers crowds listeners gawkers in.
What are your plans? We’d love to know. Swing us an email telling us what you’re up to. rado@artsupperhunter.com.au
Are you a venue with an intriguing program of music starting in, say, early Feb?
Are you a ceramics group who haven’t had a meeting for a while and are keen to kickstart but would like expressions of interest?
Are you an artist having their first exhibition in a while?
Are you a science hub with an intriguing program including some uniquely creative events?
Are you a sculpture event with a Christmas shop?
Or a regional art gallery with an especially strong program?
Or a new venue or museum or gallery and you think you might be opening in March but aren’t sure?
Are you an event that’s on in June and you reckon “2022 for sure”?
A few lines to give us your hopes and plans, don’t go overboard.
Here’s what Arts Upper Hunter’s up to.
Hi, John, thanks for asking. We’re a small Regional Arts Development Organisation called Arts Upper Hunter and in 2022 we have a new set of CASP grants opening in Feb, MicroGrants for individuals later in the year, and we’ll be trying to connect artists from our region to health and educational institutions through a new program. We’re also hoping in 2022 to start a couple of YouTube and Spotify channels promoting local musos. Oh, and running some business skills courses, but we’re not sure what ones yet. And above all we’ll be getting out and meeting artists, groups, Councils and audiences, promoting this vivacious realm of creative possibility, and offering networking opportunities to build Communities Of Practice all about the Hunter, Upper. Should be a hoot.
That kind of thing. Love to hear from you.
