This exhibition of crochet art garments and accessories by Lisa Wiseman and is showing in the front window of Gallery on Dowling, 120 Dowling St, Dungog, and online at https://cerublu.com.au/wwow from 25th November to 5th December, 2022.
Lisa said, “It’s about time for some fun and frivolity, so this show is dedicated to bringing as many smiles to as many faces as possible, by sharing my quirky crochet simultaneously- in actuality and virtuality”.
The works can be viewed from the street in the gallery window at any time, and can also be seen online during the exhibition period. A QR code in the window will link to the webpage, with a catalog of works and extra info. This promises to be a vivid and fun-filled show!
All the works will be colourful, complex and quirky. Poseable, critter hats- some of which also carry spectacles etc. for their wearers are shaped like frogs, dragons, dinosaurs, squids, octopuses and fish. Horned hats include viking hats, imp hats and devilish beanies. Naturally, my trademark traditional-description-defying, multi-function garments and accessories such as scoods and scarts, make appearances as well.
This exhibition was made possible by an Arts Upper Hunter Micro Grant.”
