Chairman of Arts Upper Hunter Robert Booth has announced 21 artists and arts organisations around the Upper Hunter who will benefit from $20,785 in small-grant funding.
The AUH board increased its Micro Grants allocation in order to fund all twenty-one applicants. The grants of up to $1,000 are designed to help artists, arts organisations and cultural organisations get back on track after the effects of the pandemic in the first half of 2020.
Arts Upper Hunter’s Mark Reedman said, “The grants will progress the online presence of the Upper Hunter arts/cultural sector, provide materials and infrastructure for the sector’s face to face activity, support artist fees for events and assist film production in the region.”
The recipients are: ArtOnly By Anita, Callicoma Hill, Damien Leith, Dungog Arts Society, Dungog By Design, Helene Leane, Janet Steele, Jenny Hicks, Julie Fitzgerald, Merriwa Can Assist, Morrigan Raine, Murrurundi Arts and Crafts, Murrurundi & District Historical Society, Paterson Gallery, Performing Artists of Dungog, Rebecca Rath, Rory Ellis, Scone & Upper Hunter Historical Society, Sheer Design, Singleton Town Band and Tocal Homestead.
