The Muswellbrook Ceramic Group Pothouse Arts has long been a vital part of the Muswellbrook arts community, supporting ceramic arts practice, creative development, and skill sharing across the region.
The exhibition showcases the skill and versatility of two of its members; Scott Douglass Cooper and Christina Collingridge through a diverse range of mediums and techniques from wheel-thrown ceramic bowls, hand mould ceramic ornaments to resin-mould candle holders, trinket boxes and a very cute trio of frogs.
Arts Upper Hunter is pleased to present this exhibition at our Muswellbrook office at Shop 7 Campbell’s Corner, 60-82 Bridge St, Muswellbrook for February and March 2026.
Items are available for sale. Please contact Scott Cooper on 0427 101 697.
About Muswellbrook Ceramic Group Pothouse Arts
Founded in 1967 on a shared love of ceramics, the Muswellbrook Ceramic Group Pothouse Arts exists to foster creative growth, experimentation, and community connection. The studio offers dedicated workspace where members can develop their techniques, test ideas, and collaborate in an encouraging and supportive environment.
Over the years the Muswellbrook Ceramic Group Pothouse Arts has held many events including several Muswellbrook Creative Arts Fair and regular Open Days showcasing the drama and excitement of raku firing.
Like many creative organisations, the COVID period proved deeply challenging. Closures, reduced gatherings, and limited public engagement placed significant strain on the group. Membership numbers have declined and regular programming has been disrupted.
Yet the spirit of the Muswellbrook Ceramic Group Pothouse Arts has endured.
Today, the group is rebuilding with an enthusiastic and dedicated membership committed to revitalising the studio and looking forward to celebrating their 60-year anniversary next year.
New members are welcomed.
The Muswellbrook Ceramic Group Pothouse Arts is located at Lower Brook St, Muswellbrook. It is open Mondays from 10am to 3pm.
