Artist statement:
“The Hunter Valley is a landscape of shifting modes – light dissolving into shadow, ridges glowing at dusk, valleys wrapped in silence. My paintings are not records of place, but records of feelings. Each canvas is an abstracted horizon, where earth and sky blur, where memory and atmosphere linger. Through colour and form, I search for the quiet poetry within the land.” Maude Butta.
