We’re pleased to welcome Bindi Baker to our team. Bindi will manage the Blak Arts Collective Pop Up Shop project. She has a youth-work background and will be working closely with Kemer from the Wanaruah Local Aboriginal Land Council and others across our region. Stay tuned for more news.
We are also sad to say goodbye to Uncle Richie Lawton. Richie has been instrumental in ideas and on-the-ground engagement in many of the programs we are now running through Blak Arts Collective. As demand has grown for his wisdom, cultural skill and ability to connect with First Nations people, he and his company Budbudda Dreaming have gradually stepped back from AUH. We wish Richie and his wife Sue well with their very busy roster of activities!
