On AusArt Day on 23 October … many organisations are fundraising for the arts. Including Arts Upper Hunter.
So what are we raising money for? Thanks for asking!
Our Country Arts Support Program and Micro Grants every year bring real, locally conceived workshops and events to our region. So it’s no coincidence that our first fundraising campaign since getting DGR status (“All donations are tax deductible”) is to help grow the pool for our small grants and get more happening on the ground all across the Upper Hunter region.
We invite you to contribute and help us reach an achievable total of $3000.
Our donation page is ready to take donations. For this first campaign Help Our Grassroots Creative Community Thrive we’re using Creative Australia’s Australian Cultural Fund for our donations. All donations will come to us and they will be tax deductible (if over $2)!
Here’s the link if you want to donate, a little or a lot.
Since Arts Upper Hunter started, Arts Upper Hunter has empowered many many many community projects through the Country Arts Support Program – small grants for community groups. We’ve recently added in Micro Grants that businesses and individuals can apply for. In all that time the pool hasn’t grown. We’d like to grow the pool. If you’ve seen an opera in Murrurundi, made lanterns in Dungog, booked the kids in for a skateboard workshop in Scone or Latin drumming in Muswellbrook, visited the pre-school artshow in Singleton or helped create a mural in Belford or Denman, it’s likely you were enjoying the benefits of CASP or our Micro Grants. And there are so many more …
What if we don’t make our target? We will be surprised, but we will also still use the money raised to increase our small grants.
What if we make more? We have a million great programs coming. Ask us for more information!
AusArt Day – make a difference!
